Beasts and Beauty: Artwork of the Beserker

The show featured limited edition signed prints of original pen and ink drawings. The images are largely inspired by traditional Norse Art work from jewellery, furniture and picture stones.

Scott has been living and working in Apollo bay for 15 years as a painter, sculptor, writer and stage-director. Usually a painter of intensely coloured, large, detailed canvases, full of symbolism and storytelling. The much simpler line work in this show has been a lovely opportunity to rest his busy mind during the cold winter months.

Scott will return to his old ways later in the year with an exhibition titled: IT’S NO GAME, full of allegoric paintings featuring playing cards, chess pieces and a few familiar characters from Monopoly and Cluedo.
